About Us

Preserve Washburn County was formed in early 2022 by friends and neighbors concerned about the explosive growth of new and expanded RV subdivisions in Washburn County. We view RV subdivisions with skepticism. The costs of large projects currently outweigh the benefits. Where developers see quick profits, we see catastrophes that increase costs to existing property owners without increasing housing options for new and existing residents.

We are working with members of Washburn County Lakes and Rivers Association, Yellow River Protection Conservancy, Preserve Burnett County, Spooner Lake District, and local towns within Washburn County to enact common-sense, enforceable laws.
